Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

  • to classify current concepts for manufacturing, especially in the field of assembly (planning), learning factories, cobots (collaborative robots) and new technologies (3D printing, etc.)
  • prepare, present and critically reflect on scientific publications
  • implement dynamic division of labour at a human-robot workstation, incl. programming of a robot using intuitive programming concepts
  • construct a mounting device using 3D (FDM) pressure

Subject of course

Importance/location of assembly in Central Europe, digital assembly design with human models to simulate ergonomic design aspects, material supply, logistics and availability in assembly, digital concept creation, use of robots in assembly, commissioning of robots (costs, risks, training requirements), intuitive programming, conception of a collaborative workplace using Cobot, construction and 3D printing of an assembly aid, Experiment on the division of labour between robots and humans in relation to assembly activities, consolidation of existing assembly systems / types of assembly / assembly activities, new technologies in assembly, individualisation / personalisation of assembly workplaces in relation to digital networking (iris scan, fingerprint, 3D camera, optical recognition, chip card), motivation, acceptance and employee-centred assembly design.

Teaching methods

  • Presentation, discussion and critical reflection of scientific papers
  • Integrative exercises (Cobot programming, design, FDM printing)

Mode of examination

Immanent
