Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

  • to classify current concepts for manufacturing, especially in the field of assembly (planning), learning factories, cobots (collaborative robots) and new technologies
  • prepare, present and critically reflect on scientific publications
  • Write sections of a scientific publication and combine them into a consolidated paper.

Subject of course

Importance/location of assembly in Central Europe, digital assembly design with human models to simulate ergonomic design aspects, material supply, logistics and availability in assembly, consolidation of existing assembly systems / types of assembly / assembly activities, new technologies in assembly, individualisation / personalisation of assembly workplaces in relation to digital networking (iris scan, fingerprint, 3D camera, optical recognition, chip card), motivation, acceptance and employee-centred assembly design.

Teaching methods

  • Presentation, discussion and critical reflection of scientific papers
  • Write sections of a scientific publication and combine them into a consolidated paper.
