Aim of course

In "Investment and Financing 1" the fundamentals of finance are taught. The main focus lies on the pricing of future cash flows with the present value methodology. This methodology has different nuances which reflect in a precise meaning of the financial vocabulary. The main objective of the course is the development of a finance-based thinking which allows students to make good investment and financing decisions. Furthermore the students should acquire a thorough understanding of the pricing and the monetary consequences of financial instruments presented in the annual reports of enterprises.
