Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve a concrete practical example in a limited period of time and within a clearly defined framework with selected software and communication tools. 

Subject of course

During a 4-day exercise, you will digitally plan an assembly plant in a team with international partner universities:

  • Planning of an assembly layout
  • Planning of a logistics concept
  • Elaboration of the interfaces between the process steps
  • Creating a realistic solution

Teaching methods

Preparatory simulation for familiarization, processing of a case study in group work, calculation of key figures, use of software for factory planning, joint creation and delivery of a presentation.
