A simulation model (simulation game) transfers the participants into the production control of a company: New orders come continuously, which first have to be won in competition to other companies and then are scheduled into the current production. The need for assemblies and parts has to be determined, material orders have to be placed and products have to be manufactured as economically as possible in an economically competitive situation. As in reality, unforeseen events such as machine breakdowns, sick employees or unpunctual deliveries of materials force rapid replanning and optimization.
