Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to explicate the fundamental properties and the methods of manufacturing of functionally graded materials (FGMs); moreover, they are able to mathematically formulate the mechanical behaviour of FGMs and to solve basic problems arising in applications; furthermore, students are able to explicate applications of FGMs in industry

Fundamental principles and properties of Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs); the technologies used in the manufacturing of FGMs; mathematical modelling and analysis of mechanical behaviour of FGMs; applications of FGMs in industry.
