Aim of course

Extended education in Machine Dynamics beyond the subjects presented in the basic course (LVA 303.182) considering rotordynamic systems.

Subject of course

Dynamics of rotating machinery (modelling, gyroscope effects, damping and destabilizing mechanisms, journal bearing dynamics, nonlinear effects). Basics of active magnetic bearings and active structural damping. Machine diagnosis, diagnosis hints, and vibration indicators.
