Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to deal with:

Dynamics of rotating machinery (modelling, gyroscope effects, damping and destabilizing mechanisms, journal bearing dynamics, nonlinear effects). Basics of active magnetic bearings and active structural damping. Machine diagnosis, diagnosis hints, and vibration indicators.
