Aim of course

The theory as presented in the corresponding course is carried out on simple, application oriented problems. The test during the semester are not to replace the final examination on the theory course but should increase the students ability to work on their own.

Subject of course

Introductory Problems: Belt drives, impact response of a SDOF-system, etc., flywheel design - Problems on machine foundations: Design parameters of a SDOF-foundation system, etc. - Problems on torsional vibration systems: assembly of system matrices, transformation to reference speed, planetary gearing system, forced torsional vibrations, start up simulation of drive trains, etc. The selection of the problems is subject of changes.
