- State space models for MIMO systems,
- Linearization,
- Controllability and observability,
- Design of linear MIMO control systems using the method of pole placement,
- Decoupling,
- Exact linearization and design of nonlinear feedforward control schemes,
- Optimal control.
The VU is supported by extensive examples which are available as complete MATLAB/Simulink packages for the students (e.g. ESP control, damping of torsional vibrations, multi-tank system). The comprehensive use of MATLAB/Simulink should enable the participants to design complex multi-variable control systems and test them in simulation.
The course is designed interactively. In the lecture parts, the theoretical fundamentals are worked out and the knowledge imparted in this way is additionally vividly supported by practice-relevant problems. In numerous exercise examples the application of the previously theoretically mediated contents is clarified by calculation and simulation examples.
The students should have a basic knowledge about state space control for SISO systems as presented in the courses "Prozessregelung", LVA-No. 325.001 or "Feedback Control", LVA-No. 325.055.
