Properties

  • Semester hours: 2.0
  • Credits: 3.0
  • Type: VO Lecture

Aim of course

ATTENTION! REPLACES IN SS 2016 VO 322.064 - SAME TEACHING CONTENT!

Understanding of fundamental phenomena of structure mechanics in tissue engineering and coupling between two-phase flows and acoustics (as "acoustic streaming"), in particular of bubble dynamics and related physical phenomena.

The course is tought by Dr. Robert Bowles, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, University College London.

Subject of course

Selected topics of fluid and structural dynamics and acoustics and their impact on biological phenomena and medical applications. The pulmonary and systemic circulation provide the basis of the analysis.
