## Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve partial differential equations describing fluid mechanics and heat transfer with appropriate numerical methods. They understand the strengths, weaknesses and limits of applicability of these methods.

## Subject of course

Introduction to possibilities and limits of numerical methods in fluid- and thermodynamics based on examples. Solution of fluid- and thermodynamic problems based on simple examples Practice of interpretation and judgment of the results.

Introduction to python, presentation of examples on blackboard, implementation of numerical methods in simple python scripts, discussion based on examples
