Aim of course

The main purpose of the lecture is to convey a systemic world-view and its applications to the management of organizations, which are interpreted as open, highly-complex, socio-technical systems.

Subject of course

The lecture provides a thorough definition  of all relevant concepts of systems theory and explains, why systems thinking is a basic skill in the framework of modern management methods. Though the crucial point is planning, beyond that all subsystems of the management system and their methods are considered. It will be shown, that systems thinking can help to plan and realize a new paradigm in organizations.
