Aim of course

The student will be exposed to basic numerical methods in engineering. After having passed the course he/she is be able to apply these methods to basic problems. This tutorial is aimed at deepening the understanding of the methods taught in the lecture by application to practical problems.

Subject of course

Basics of numerical arithmetics, basic methods of numerical linear algebra, solution methods for nonlinear equations, approximation of functions, numerical differentiation and integration, boundary-value problems, initial-value problems eigenvalue problems. In this course Python will be used as programming language.
