Based on the development history of the engine and vehicle control in the last decades, this lecture gives an overall system overview for engineers. The focus of this course is the presentation of modern engine, drivetrain and vehicle control concepts. Also of great importance is the communication between the individual control systems (various bus systems and practical applications) and the consideration of on-board diagnostic legislation. Another focus will be on the question of the challenges of autonomous vehicles to the technicians and where the further journey will go.
- Engine and powertrain control
- Communication standards (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, etc.)
- OBD legislation (SAE, ISO, ASAM)
- Vehicle Assistance Systems / ADAS
