Base knowledge of Offroad Vehicle Technology, comprising terramechanic principles, design criteria and selected implementations.
Precondition for participation in the lecture is the successful examination or at least personal participation in the lecture ¿Commercial- and special vehicle technology¿. During the lecture base knowledge about terramechanic principles are provided. Design criteria of Offroad Commercial- and Special Vehicles are discussed in detail. Some exemplary implementations of Offroad-Vehicles in different areas of operation , e.g. offroad trucks, agricultural tractors, construction equipment, military vehicles and race trucks, will get discussed. Finally an excursion to an offroad vehicle manufacturer with practical demonstration will take place.
