Aim of course

Most improvements in the field of exhaust emissions are driven by the Californian regulations. To support the transatlantic research cooperation, this lecture deals with latest calculation methods as well as measurement and testing devices for further improvements of propulsion systems.

Subject of course

Measurement and calculation methods for energy consumption and exhaust emissions of internal combustion engines. Chassis dynamometer and engine test beds. Measurement devices and in-situ exhaust sensors. Real-world measurment devices for all transport modes.Calculation methods for global and local applications.
