After successful completion of the course, students are able to research subject-specific topics, to write the results as a scientific paper and to give a lecture according to a conference contribution.

  • Literature research on a topic of automotive technology
  • Advance of knowledge in the subject area - development of the task with accompanying support
  • Compose a written seminar work according to a Conference contribution
  • Final presentation according to a presentation at a scientific meeting

Teaching methods

Assignment of a topic in the field of automotive design and/or internal combustion engines, Assignment of a supervising assistant, issue of guidelines for the seminar paper and the final presentation. Regular exchange on progress and on the occurrence of problems with the supervising assistant.
