The block teaching event "Innovation Management II" deals with innovations and their effective management in companies in both theory and practice. The aim of the event is in particular to raise awareness of the various factors at work in implementing innovations successfully and positively. Practical examples are investigated in greater depth than the underlying theories, in order to give the listener a greater appreciation of what makes processes successful.
The lecture aims to define the notion of innovation and its bandwidth, and to underpin it with practical examples. By making reference to the luxury models of the Volkswagen Group, the implementation of vehicle innovations is investigated in greater depth and the impact on the entire model range highlighted. A visit to the Volkswagen plant in Bratislava illustrates how successful innovations have been implemented in the engine sector. The event is accompanied by an exhibition of selected Volkswagen Group vehicles.
