Aim of course

The block teaching event "Innovation Management" deals with innovations and the effective management of innovations in companies in both theory and practice. The aim of the event is in particular to raise awareness of the various factors at work in implementing innovations successfully and positively. Practical examples are investigated in greater depth than the underlying theories, in order to give the listener a greater appreciation of what makes processes successful.

Subject of course

The lecture aims to define the notion of innovation and its bandwidth, and to underpin it with practical examples. By making reference to successful development companies, various concepts of innovation management are investigated and the challenge of permanent innovation highlighted. A visit to the Volkswagen plant in Bratislava illustrates how successful innovations have been implemented in the production process. The Volkswagen Group brands are used to demonstrate to what extent innovations can change companies. The event is accompanied by an exhibition of selected Volkswagen Group vehicles.
