Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and apply the basics of coordinate metrology and the mechanical (tactile) and computed tomography (CT) methods in metrology. Furthermore, the students can carry out an independent scan on a computer tomograph.

Subject of course

Basics and application of coordinate metrology and computed tomography in metrology.

Quality control as a quality management function: Total Quality Management (TQM), standards, accreditation, certification.

Quality control in industrial production: elements of quality control, test characteristics, filtering.

Teaching methods

Scanning of components using computer tomographs, creation of a volume, application of corrections, analysis with the 3D software GOM and VG Studio Max, design of measurement protocols with the software CASYPSO
