The ongoing face-to-face supervision allows a quick reaction to questions and problems that may arise during the work on the diploma thesis. The presentation of the activities within the diploma thesis is done together with all diploma students of the research group.

Teaching methods

A regular communication about the progress made, or about any problems or uncertainties with the supervisor of the thesis takes place. The students receive structured instructions on how to write their diploma thesis. By working in a small group, a very intensive subject-specific and also interdisciplinary information exchange takes place in the group. Various aspects of writing a diploma thesis (e.g. literature retrieval and handling of literature, tools for visualization, etc.) are elaborated together with the students.
