Aim of course

Basic knowledge to introduce a quality-oriented autonomous "Jidoka" concept in a company's internal production process. Criteria and basic techniques for directing a classic automated process towards an "autonomous" process.

Subject of course

Overview of the quality-oriented autonomous "Jidoka" concept; Connection to the quality and SPC criteria (*). Fundamentals of automation and their evolution to Autonomation. Basic elements of Automation-Autonomation, standard and new sensors and actuators, intelligent metrology and robotics in Multi-Function Integrated Factories, telepresence and intelligent Autonomation as targets of the industry 4.0.
