After successful completion of the course, students are able to
- describe relevant national and international objectives and strategies
- classify and evaluate their own projects and intentions with regard to energy and resource consumption as well as carbon dioxide relevance
- to be able to identify optimization potentials in the sense of decarbonization and to make suggestions for improvements
Students have basic knowledge for further intensive preoccupation with the topic.
In the context of international requirements to reduce climate change, the assessment of the energy and resource relevance of products as well as manufacturing and production steps is inevitable. The course provides an overview of the relevant contexts and explains the application of the criteria and the classification of projects in this strategic context on the basis of case studies.
