The aim of the course is to give the participants an overview of aspects of energy-efficient production in the industry. The graduates of the course are aware of energy saving potentials in the industrial environment, are enabled to initiate processes in their later working life in the direction of increasing energy efficiency and have a basic knowledge base for the further in-depth discussion of the topic.
In this course, the essential basics of the subject area are presented. The theoretical foundations will then be illustrated in the course of an excursion to the pilot factory of the Vienna University of Technology. In order to get an insight into the work in interdisciplinary teams, the exercise part is held in the mode of a hackathon. Current issues of industrial companies are used as an entry point for an intensive development process. In two days, teams are formed, ideas found and finally prototypes developed. The resulting prototypes will then be further developed and refined in the team. This process is accompanied by project coaching and expert lectures on the following topics:
- Energy storage
- Energy Management Systems
- Energy efficient buildings for industry ...
