The course is orientated to the connection between the theory of numerical simulation and the practical usage of the FEM software with the focus on the practical tasks.
ABAQUS Student edition will be used as the working tool and the course will start with the installation of this software on the student's notebooks, thus the notebooks are required. The software has to be removed at the end of semester! Another possibility is to download the ABAQUS Student edition directly from the https://academy.3ds.com/en/software/abaqus-student-edition . This offer is valid for the students from the North American or European institutions and is time limited. Because the program environment and software documentation the course will be held in English language.
The course is divided to the 8 logical blocks. The blocks are deeper descrbed (with the keywords) bellow in the part "Weitere Informationen". Each of them will be introduced (PPT presentation) and then followed with the practical example.
