Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to Networking as well the development and presentation of project ideas and concepts and identify the fundamental differences between technology and technique.

Subject of course

Expansion of  the concepts of Appropriate Technology and sustainability with reference to developing countries (Fairtrade), group work such as planning and construction of solar systems; small scale hydropower in Austria and developing countries; Comparative research of clay technology in Ghana and Austria;  Maintenance technology in the tropics; Design of wind power plants for developing countries; Investigation of trends in services.
