Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain the basics of the practical use of 3D coordinate measuring technology and solve the basic tasks on a CNC coordinate measuring machine in an air-conditioned measuring room.

Subject of course

The coordinate measurement technique proved essential to quality control and management, particularly in mechanical production technology. Students learn the basics and differences between coordinate measuring machines and there is practical training on high-precision coordinate measuring machines in the laboratory.

Teaching methods

Active participation and collaboration in laboratory operations and implementation of a 3D measuring process on 3D coordinate measuring machines.
