Aim of course

Propagation of product knowledge in tire design and production. Understanding of tire performance based on material properties and tire mechanics. Overview on tire development, economic and enviromental impact of tires.

Subject of course

The product tire is described by standards, materials, design and the manufacturing process. All relevant tire performances are explained based on tire testing, material properties and model descriptions. Development, marketing and sales processes are scetched. To round up the lecture history of the tire, economical relevance, enviromental impact and innovative tire features and concepts are covered.
