Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to evaluate tribological systems under harsh environments. They can examine wear mechanisms and select wear protection solutions for different applications. Further, they can estimate costs of wear in applications, measure the extent of wear and can select methods for wear simulation. Furthermore, they can select and operate suitable abrasion tests for the comparison of wear protection solutions.
