Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to...understand mechanical priciples in biological materials and name examples.

The students are further able to describe the composition of example biological materials.

The students are able to understand the relations between composition and structure of biological materials and their mechanical performance.

Teaching methods

Classical lecture, powerpoint slides.

In addition occasional brainstormings, discussion with students, hands-on experiment, short example calculations on the blackboard
