Aim of course

Creating a knowledge base about medical applications of materials.

Subject of course

Biocompatible materials (metals, ceramics and polymers) and design; Methods for the determination of biocompatibility; Knee resp. hip joint implants and their testing; Degradable implants; Controlled drug release and drug delivery systems; Wound care und suture materials; Implants for the blood circulatory system; Dental and ophthalmological applications
