After successful completion of the course, students are able to realize real (aero-)space projects in interdisciplinary collaboration. Students have the opportunity to broaden their theoretical knowledge and also improve their practical skills in their specific area of interest. They are familiar with the basic work flows of complex (aero-)space projects with regards to engineering as well as project management. Students can document and summarize their findings in a written project work.
In this course subjects from the students’ studies are revisited and investigated in more detail. Intensifying theoretical understanding and acquiring experience in practical work are the two cornerstones of this project. Students are part of an (aero-)space project of the TU Wien Space Team and document their findings in a written project work.
A list of possible topics for the project can be found on the website of the TU Wien Space Team: https://spaceteam.at/studentaerospace
The topic of the project is chosen in coordination with the TU Wien Space Team and the acadamic supervisor, then a project work is authored by the student. Every project is also allocated to a mentor in the TU Wien Space Team. A deadline for submitting the project work can be set if necessary.
The project work is the basis for the grading of the course. The academic supervisor also has the opportunity to resort to the assessment of the respective tutor and mentor in the TU Wien Space Team.
