After successful completion of the course, students are able to...
- calculate and design selected machine elements according to standards and design guidelines
- perform design tasks on their own
- to recognize and evaluate pros and cons of machine elements under the relevant aspects of operation and design
Correct design and calculation of the following machine - and design-elements: Journal bearings and HD-theory, radial and axial-bearings, antifriction bearings-Hertzian pressure, theory of ball- and roller bearings, materials and strength, design and mounting of bearings, shafts calculation and design, critical speed and torsional vibrations, hubs, keys, seals, lubrication.
- Lectures about basics and design/calculation tools for the listed content
- Practice and application of the content with examples of machine elements, with guidance by the lecturer.
Lectures will be held online (distance learning). See TUWEL for Lectures via zoom.
Start of the lectures: Tuesday, October 6th, 2020
Exam only offered in German.
It ist not necessary to enroll into the course itself. However an enrollment is mandatory if you want to participate in the TUWEL-lectures
