After successful completion of the course, students are able to:
In the course, handling of the calculation programs KISSSOFT and M-Design is explained. Shaft calculations and shaft-hub connections as well as a simple gearbox are calculated with these two programs. The differences in the programs should be shown and the different procedures recognized.
In KISSSYS, the modeling environment of KISSSOFT, a more complex gear model is built up, which is used for further calculations. The shafts and bearings are calculated in the model and the spur gear teeth are designed.
In the next step, a contact analysis of the spur gear teeth is carried out. Then a load spectrum is applied and finally the efficiency and the thermal balance of the transmission are calculated.
Lecture on the theoretical basics and basic calculations of the content mentioned above
Register for the course at TISS. At the beginning of the first exercise, you will be divided into groups. Then sign up for the appropriate group in TISS.
Attendance is mandatory on the dates assigned to your group. You can use the CAD room outside of the specified times to work on your task. If another course takes place in the CAD room, keep calm or leave the room if the lecturer so requests.
Immanent.
Basic knowledge of Machine design 1 & 2 is required.
