After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • independently apply PDM basic functions using as an example.
  • use search functions and create / manage objects in the system.
  • describe access management.
  • read BOM structures and perform basic assembly management functions.
  • explain and create revision rules.
  • control assembly variants.
  • define and evaluate workflows.
  • explain practical uses of iterations / revisions / baselines / validities.
  • find out how to use a part in different assembly structures.

Subject of course

Application of the contents of course 307.490 in real use cases. Organization is explained in course 307.490.

Teaching methods

Introduction to CIM Database as an example of CIM Database. The units consist of a mixture of frontal lecture and guided exercises for independent practical work in the system.
