After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

• independently apply PDM basic functions using Teamcenter as an example.
• use search functions in Teamcenter and create / manage objects in the system.
• describe access management in Teamcenter.
• read BOM structures and perform basic assembly management functions.
• explain and create revision rules in Teamcenter.
• control assembly variants in Teamcenter.
• define and evaluate workflows in Teamcenter.
• explain practical uses of iterations / revisions / baselines / validities in Teamcenter.
• find out how to use a part in different Teamcenter assembly structures.

Application of the contents of course 307.490 in real use cases. Organization is explained in course 307.490.

Introduction to Teamcenter as an example of a modern PDM system. The units consist of a mixture of frontal lecture and guided exercises for independent practical work in the system.

With the written exam the understanding of contents of the exercise material is checked. Most of the questions are taken from a published questionnaire and can be independently prepared from the script.

The performance is assessed with a written examination at the end of the semester.
