The aim of the courseis to provide a well-founded knowledge on the subject of Product lifecycle management, which includes various methods for design for x, configuration and variant management, knowledge management in product development. The focus is on it tools for product data management and the functioning of PDM systems for the storage, organization and provision of data resulting from the virtual product development. It also teaches how to systematically plan and introduce a PDM application. PDM is always accompanied by cooperative forms of work and process-oriented thinking within product development. Appropriate methodological and organisational approaches are also the subject of this course.
