Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to select and use current theoretical and experimental methods of rehabilitation engineering based on the provided overview and practical examples.

Subject of course

Rehabilitation engineering is “the application of science and technology to ameliorate the handicaps of individuals with disability”. Such handicaps can be classified into motor, sensor, and cognitive (also communicational) disabilities.

The goal of this lecture is to present classical and new rehabilitation engineering principles and practical applications.

Die Vorbesprechung findet am Montag den 16. 03. 2020 um 11:00 Uhr im Hörsaal GM 8/9 (TU Wien, Getreidemarkt 9, Maschinenbaugebäude BD, Stiege 4, 2. Stock; ehemaliger Seminarraum BD 02A) statt.

Ab Montag, den 23.3.2020, findet die Vorlesung jeweils von 10:15 - 11:45 Uhr im Hörsaal GM 8/9 (ehemaliger Seminarraum BD 02A) statt.
