After successful completion of the course, students are able to select and use current theoretical and experimental methods of rehabilitation engineering based on the provided overview and practical examples.
Rehabilitation engineering is “the application of science and technology to ameliorate the handicaps of individuals with disability”. Such handicaps can be classified into motor, sensor, and cognitive (also communicational) disabilities.
The goal of this lecture is to present classical and new rehabilitation engineering principles and practical applications.

The preliminary meeting is on Monday 18. 03. 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in lecture room GM 8/9 (TU Wien, Getreidemarkt 9, Maschinenbaugebäude BD, Stiege 4, 2. floor, lecture room GM 8/9; former seminar room BD 02A).
From 8.4.2024, the lecture will take place on mondays from 10:15 - 11:45.
The exam will be held on Mon 6/24 from 12:15 - 13:45.
