After successful completion of the course, students are able to evaluate tribological Systems and to carefully select lubricants depending on the respective applications. Furthermore, friction and wear mechanisms of machine elements and how to protect components.
There are some Basic calculation examples, short presentations referring to a specific Topic and additionally case studies, where the gained knowledge can be applied.
The gained knowledge is asked in Brief repetitive Units at the begin of each individual lecture and a final check is achieved by an exam at the end of the Semester.
