Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to look at tribological aspects in machine elements such as Journal or roller bearings and teeth gears on a fundamental Level. Basic principles in friction are presented and possibilities how to reduce friction and wear discussed. Additionally, a short introduction into lubricating oils and greases is given.
