Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to create more complex simulation models of material flow systems, to carry out a design of experiments and to prepare the results in a compact form.

 

Subject of course

Analysis of the input data, presentation of the modules and their application, planning of simulation experiments and analysis of the output data with the help of the simulation program SIMIO.

Teaching methods

Demonstration and discussion of models from the real world, working on a simulation project (for example subway stations, baggage handling systems at airports, paper mill) in small groups.
