Aim of course

To be able to identify problems of structures caused by wind influence correctly ( overall loads, local peak loads,high flow velocities in the vicinity of high rise buildings, susceptibility of structures to wind excited vibrations ).To be able to judge if model experiments are necessary to solve a special problem or if other methods would be adequate.

Subject of course

Fundamentals of fluid dynamics, fundamental equations of flow, flow of viscous fluids, turbulence, similarity, boundary layer flows, loads on objects caused by fluid flow, the natural wind, experimental methods, model laws for building aerodynamics, flow velocities in the vicinity of buildings, wind loads on rigid structures, interference effects, fundamentals of vibrations, vortex excited vibrations, gust excited vibrations, vibrations caused by other effects.
