Aim of course

Motivation for condition monitoring - physical background - assessment of monitoring strategies from technical and economical viewpoints - interpretation of signal analysis as mathematical description of physical processes and human perception - current state of art.

Subject of course

Basic ideas, tasks and strategies for solution, standardized procedures, introduction to vibration analysis, fault recognition and fault diagnosis from vibration, vibration analysis - physical background and corresponding human perception, diagnosis of bearings and gears, order tracking introduction to multivariate strategies, economic questions of monitoring systems.
