Aim of course

Based on either "Applied Thermodynamics" or Thermodynamics for "WirtschaftsIngenieure" Consolidation of thermodynamic knowledge of advanced and alternative energy conversion systems.

Subject of course

  • Basics of multicomponent systems - as far as necessary for discussed applications
  • Absorption-refrigerations and Absorption-heat pumps
  • Kalina-, ORC- and sCO2-cycles for heat recovery
  • Fuel Cells: thermodynamics, efficiencies, types
  • Thermochemical energy storage: materials, themodynamics and process integration
  • Seawater desalination
