Learning outcomes
After successful completion of the course, students are able to prepare a presentation on a specific topic of thermal turbomachinery. After successful completion of the course, students are able to present the content and to discuss the results.
Subject of course
Extension of flow calculation methods, loss mechanisms and loss reduction, part-load performance, extension of operating range, control, cooling of high-temperature components, blade and rotor vibrations, blade and rotor stress analysis, non-conventional turbomachines.
