Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

  • describe the types of steam generators and to explain the currently realized types of equipment (natural, assisted and forced circulation, combustion systems and their impact on pressure parts)
  • characterise the operational features of fired steam generators (startup, part load, etc)
  • realize the most important types of thermal enginering calculations (combustion mass and energy balances, efficiency, furnace calculation, calculation of radiative and convective heat exchanger sections, of water/seam side two phase flow, of pressurde rop calculations)
  • explain the most important design elements (buckstays, drums, etc)
  • describe the fundamentals of nuclear energy

5.März 2022: Die Vorlesung und Übung werden in didaktisch bestmöglicher Abstimmung vorgetragen:D.h. zuerst Theorie, erst dann Rechenbeispiele. Der aktuell geplante LVA-Plan kann in TUWEL unter "Folien" eingesehen werden (bzw. auch hier nachfolgend). An den ersten vier Montagen (7., 14., 21., 28.März) werden in zwei hintereinander folgenden Blöcken : 14h15 bis 15h45 und 16h00 bis 17h30 acht (8) von 14 Vorlesungs-Blöcken vorgetragen.

Die ersten drei Montage werden auf zoom abgewickelt, danach wird die Situation neu bewertet
