Aim of course

Completion of the basic lectures in Thermodynamics with the aim to achieve a solid base for specialising in Engineering for Energy.

In Fundamentals the core topics are multicomponent-multiphase-equilibrium (mainly vapor-liquid-equilibrium VLE) and chemical reaction.

The most prominent applications are carbon capture and storage, gasification, air separation trechnology, desalination technology.

Subject of course

Basics of complex thermodynamic methods and processes which are relevant in Energy Technology.

Two component-Thermodynamics,

gasification, gas turbine cycles,

low temperature thermodynamics, 

thermal separation processes.
