Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • distinguish the different concepts of measurement for temperature, pressure and mass flow
  • recalculate heat transfer measurements and to evaluate the measurements
  • use the results of exhaust gas analysis for efficiency calculation
  • evaluate the behaviour of gas solid fluidized beds

Subject of course

Heat transfer mechanisms: convection, conduction and radiation. Methods for measurement of temperature, pressure and mass flow. Flue gas analysis and determination of efficiencies at thermal systems.
